Mary is a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in our Physical Therapy facility.
Mary’s passion for helping people started at a young age. It was the combination of the Girl Scouts and being a varsity runner for many years that set the path in motion. In 2007 she graduated from SUNY Canton as a Physical Therapist Assistant and began working with the geriatric population in sub-acute rehab settings, as well as occasional home care. Mary became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2014, graduating from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She integrates her manual skill into all of her physical therapy treatments.
“I also feel that a balance between flexibility training, progressive strength training, postural work and modalities lend to my patient’s success.”
Recent continuing education classes include Kinesiology Taping and Manual Therapy, Functional Strength Training for the Aging Spine, Mind Over Misery: Stress, Anxiety, Mood and Pain, and Advances in Idiopathic Scoliosis. When Mary isn’t working diligently at Core she enjoys cooking and spending creative time outside with her husband and 2 year old daughter.
